A dynamic young man in his thirties, James Geidel, as President of the RGMMC Group, has been the Promoter of the FIA Karting Championships since 2018. RGMMC also promotes and organises other Competitions such as the IAME Euro Series, the Spanish Karting Championship and the new international Champions of the Future series launched in 2020.

After a race-long battle with Auckland-based kart-turned-car racer Taylor Cockerton, it was young Wellington karter Ryan Wood who won  KartSport New Zealand’s latest Giltrap Group & Carter’s Tyre Service-backed ‘Virtual Club Day’ on the iRacing sim (simulator) platform’s Charlotte Motor Speedway’s road course on Saturday evening.

Karting Australia has today released a five-stage map of the ‘Road Out’ for the sport across the country. The first step will see, when State Governments allow, limited numbers of Licence Holders back on track at each Club, not racing but in organised social karting designed to get members back to the Track.

Happy birthday to Felipe Massa! The Brazilian driver turns 39 today. The Sao Paulo born started his karting career in 1990 at the age of 9. Soon it become clear he was made for Formule One. Between 2002 and 2017 he spent 15 seasons in Formule One for the likes of Sauber, Ferrari and Williams.
