G4 Racing takes maiden FRECA win at Spa-Francorchamps

G4 Racing claimed its maiden Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine win at Spa-Francorchamps today. After taking a stellar pole position, Russian Michael Belov, who set an impressive 2’15”760 in Qualifying 2 in dry conditions, managed to keep his lead in the race, putting up a strong pace in the pouring rain affecting the famed Belgian circuit.

Race 1 starts with slightly wet track conditions and some teams and drivers trying a gamble with slick tyres, but the choice does not help and, finally, the race will be held with pouring rain. In the first row Michael Belov (G4 Racing) is in pole position, and at his side is the Rookie, Red Bull Junior Team driver, Isack Hadjar (R-ace GP). In the second row, Hadrien David (R-ace GP) and Dino Beganovic (Prema Powerteam).

Grégoire Saucy, again! The ART Grand Prix driver once more is absolutely unbeatable and leads Race 1 at Circuit Zandvoort from pole position t0 the checkered flag. Never is he in trouble, with a great start and an equally fantastic restart after the safety car. Behind him, his teammate Gabriele Minì, in an absolutely consistent race, being the only driver with a pace close to Saucy.

In Race 2 Grégoire Saucy (ART Grand Prix) is in pole position, while on his side is his first opponent on the Circuit Paul Ricard, Hadrien David (R-ace GP). In the second row are the two fastest Rookies in the start of the season, Gabriele Minì (ART Grand Prix) and Isack Hadjar (R-ace GP).
