An emotional end to the European Championship for James Wharton

For Australian hopeful James Wharton, it was a FIA Karting European Championship full of lessons that has just ended in Germany. On the Wackersdorf circuit, where the tension was palpable, the young driver with the official Parolin Racing Kart team was again a finalist. However, too many incidents impeded his progress so he had to be satisfied with 26th place in the Final.

Races follow one another and do not always look the same! Having just been crowned double European Champion the previous week in KZ and KZ2, the Birel ART brand was hoping to continue its momentum and finish its European campaign in OK and OK-Junior with a new major result. Alas, the hazards of the race decided otherwise. Several points of satisfaction remain for the official team of Lissone, such as the excellent performance of the Brazilian Matheus Morgatto, who came 8th in the final with a high level of performance.

More than 240 drivers heading to Lonato for the WSK Euro Series 2020

The final stages of WSK Euro Series will take place at the South Garda Karting in Lonato that will house Rounds 2 and 3 for categories KZ2, OK, OKJ and MINI. More than 240 drivers will get on track including several exceptional champions ready to fight for the titles. Round 2 will also be valid as Italian ACI Sport Championship for OK and OKJ.
 

2020 European Champions: Ugochukwu - Junior and Antonelli – OK

The third and last day of the FIA Karting European Championships - OK & Junior at Wackersdorf kept the tension up to the end of the Finals with incessant clashes between all participants. The suspense remained high throughout the competition before Ugo Ugochukwu (USA) and Andrea Kimi Antonelli (ITA) were crowned in Junior and OK respectively.
