The 2020 FIA Karting World Championship - OK & Junior in Portugal has just started in wet weather on Friday 6th November. After the Qualifying Practice sessions that were complex to manage, Brando Badoer (ITA) took the Junior pole position and Matheus Morgatto (BRA) remained the fastest in OK.

The FIA Karting World Championship - OK & Junior has been rescheduled to the Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portugal from 5th to 8th November 2020. The circuit of Portimão, in the south of Portugal, received its last CIK-FIA Competition in June 2016 for the OK and OK-Junior European Championships as well as the Academy Trophy. Located within a superb complex dedicated to motorsport, which has just been awarded the Portuguese F1 Grand Prix, the karting facilities include a 1531 metre long track, full of gradient changes, fast and spectacular.

The most important event of the season for the direct drive categories (OK & OK-Junior), the FIA World Championship, will take place from 5th to 8th November at the Portimao circuit in Portugal. After last weekend's rehearsal with the Champions of the Future Race, the CRG team is ready to face the event that will elect the World Champions of the OK and OK-Junior classes.

It is a duel that has dominated the whole season, and it is about to culminate on the final weekend at Oschersleben (6th - 8th November) - Jonny Edgar (16, England) versus Jak Crawford (15, USA), two Red Bull Junior members of the Van Amersfoort squad in pursuit of the ADAC Formula 4 title. Edgar goes into this last fixture of the campaign leading the championship table by a 23-point margin and as clear favourite, but Crawford remains undaunted. So everything is set for a riveting conclusion to the sixth season of the ADAC High-Speed Academy. Racing at Oschersleben will go ahead without any spectators in attendance to comply with the biosecurity measures agreed between the ADAC GT Masters and the relevant authorities.
