The two Parolin Motorsport KZ2 rookies, James Wharton and Lorenzo Travisanutto, finished the first meeting of the 2021 European Championship on a very positive note. After a worse than expected start to the competition, they recovered in the Final to both finish in the top 10. Francesco Celenta was aiming for a top five finish in the KZ class, but was unable to finish the meeting due to injury.

Thomas ten Brinke has ended his motorsport career with immediate effect. The 16-year-old Ten Brinke joined the TeamNL selection at the beginning of this year, but has now indicated that he no longer enjoys the sport and is therefore quitting with immediate effect. While the KNAF and TeamNL regret the decision as the talented Ten Brinke seemed to have a great career in motorsport ahead of him, they admire the courage to make this difficult but brave choice at such a young age.

W Series all set for the start of a landmark season in Austria

Austria's Styrian mountains will provide a fittingly dramatic backdrop when W Series returns to the track this weekend after nearly two years away. The international all-female single-seater motor racing championship will race in partnership with the FIA Formula One World Championship for eight rounds in 2021, starting with a double header in Austria on 26 June and 3 July in support of the Styrian and Austrian Grands Prix respectively.
 

James Wharton: A fantastic 16-place improvement to the European top ten!

James Wharton's first ever participation in the FIA Karting European Championship in KZ2, where he was one of the youngest entrants, was a particularly positive experience. In Germany, his high level of performance enabled him to compete with much more experienced drivers. From Qualifying to the Final, the Australian from the Ferrari Driver Academy was able to progress to cross the finish line in a convincing 8th position.
