Karting Australia, in conjunction with Motorsport Australia, is proud to announce Australia’s representatives in the Karting disciplines at the 2022 FIA Motorsport Games to be held in France on October 26-30. With the karting disciplines being split into a Senior (15 to 18 years old) and Junior (12 to 14 years old), 2021 Ladies Trophy Winner Aiva Anagnostiadis and 2022 Australian Kart Championship Round Winner Peter Bouzinelos will fly the Australian flag at the event.

The first of the two world championship events of the 2022 FIA Karting season offers a very attractive programme with five categories and more than 320 drivers taking part in Le Mans (FRA) from 1st to 4th September. Fifty-six nations will be represented in France. The event benefits from organisational expertise of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest on the nearby Bugatti circuit, or since 1923 on the legendary 24 Hours circuit.

The changing skies at Le Mans contributed to several unexpected developments in the Qualifying Heats of the Mondokart.com FIA Karting event currently taking place in the Sarthe region of France. A succession of brief showers on Saturday morning did not help all of the competitors. However, the verdict is in. Simo Puhakka (FIN) took the lead in KZ. Arthur Carbonnel (FRA) took the top position in KZ2. Jeroen Bos (NLD) remained the leader of the KZ2 Masters, while Mark Dubnitski (EST) took the lead in the FIA Karting Academy Trophy at the last moment.

The Italian driver dominated the Final and is the first winner of the WSK Super Cup by MINI which was contested by drivers from 25 different countries. Hoogendoorn, Costoya, Toniolo and Sala completed the podium.

The young talents that will contest the first edition of the WSK Super Cup by MINI already made it onto the track at the La Conca circuit for the initial free practice sessions. This event is a new appointment completely dedicated to category MINI, which represents a good epilogue following the success that this category had in these past few years.
