Parolin Motorsport: 2nd place in OK and top five in Junior at Sarno

Parolin Racing Kart was the best-represented chassis brand in Sarno with almost 50 karts participating in the third round of the WSK Super Master Series with 255 drivers from 45 nations in its five categories. Parolin was 1st in Mini and Mini U10 and 2nd in OK-Junior. After a tough competition Parolin Motorsport had a very positive result with René Lammers finishing 2nd in OK, Zac Drummond finishing in the top five in Junior and Lorenzo Travisanutto and Francesco Celenta coming back in the KZ2 Final.

Ayato Iwasaki remains with Elite Motorsport for full GB3 campaign

Japanese driver Ayato Iwasaki will remain with Elite Motorsport for a full GB3 campaign in 2023, after making his series debut with the Norfolk team at last year’s Donington Park finale. Iwasaki posted a sixth place finish in the last race of the season, his first car event in Europe, ending less than four seconds behind the race winner. 
 

Successful GT4 debut for Jessica Bäckman

Last weekend, March 4-5th, the fifth round of the GT Winter Series was held at the Navarra circuit in northern Spain. Jessica Bäckman was on the starting grid for the first time in 2023, in a new car; Aston Martin AMR Vantage GT4 and for a new team; PROsport Racing Team. Jessica made an impressive GT4 debut where she drove home two second places in the races.

Xtream Rock Island Grand Prix adds 3 new classes for Sept. 2-3 street race

It’s been almost 30 years since planning began for the first Xtream Rock Island Grand Prix, the world’s largest and most prestigious karting street race. This will be the 28th year. The sport has changed a lot in that time and sometimes it’s hard to notice changes when you host one race a year. Rock Island organizers have taken a look at how they are doing and what might need to change. There are 2 major challenges and, in a sense, they go hand in hand: the racing needs to be safer; more support is needed from karters and sponsors due to growing costs to keep the event thriving.
