Qualifying stages are now over and next up are the finals of the WSK Open Cup in Lonato. The titles up for grabs are those of MINI, OKJ, OK and KZ2. Live TV coverage and Streaming on Sunday, October 2 from 10:50 and from 14:00.

Qualifying practice and initial heats of the single-round event of the WSK Open Cup have been run. The other qualifying heats will be run tomorrow to define the finalists that will compete on Sunday, October 2nd. Matheus Morgatto and Enzo Tarnvanichkul have just made FIA Karting history. It had been 24 years since a Brazilian had won a World Championship and Morgatto deserved his title in OK after a perfect run. On the Italian circuit of Sarno, in the sun, Tarnvanichkul became the first ever Thai World Champion.

With the return of the sun and milder weather conditions compared to Qualifying Practice, the 199 drivers entered in the Mondokart.com FIA Karting World Championship - OK and OK-Junior produced a magnificent show throughout the 43 Qualifying Heats. In each category, 72 drivers won their ticket for the Super Heats on Sunday morning, which will precede the long awaited Finals! Matheus Morgatto (BRA) in OK and Enzo Tarnvanichkul (THA) in OK-Junior are provisionally in first place, but the event is far from over.

199 drivers of 48 nationalities had to face wet and changing weather conditions on Friday 16th September at the Sarno circuit (ITA). At the foot of Mount Vesuvius, it rained at the beginning of the day, but the track dried out during Qualifying, to the point where the drivers of the last session started on slick tyres. In this context, there was no shortage of surprises, such as the pole positions achieved by German Maxime Rehm in OK and Swiss driver Kian Fardin in OK-Junior.
