Sauber Academy is set to further expand its roster of young talents in 2024, as Zane Maloney is announced as the latest inductee of the team’s driver development programme. The young Barbadian will also take on the role of Reserve Driver for Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber at several Grands Prix during the 2024 Formula One season, sharing the duties with fellow Sauber Academy driver, Théo Pourchaire.

René Lammers has traded his Parolin-kart for a Formula 4 car of MP Motorsport. The 15-year-old talented driver from Zandvoort presented his car this week in his own backyard, on the Zandvoort F1 circuit. In 2023 René became European Champion in OK and second in the World Championship driving for Parolin Motorsport. This year he made the step to the Spanish Formula 4. The KR chassis are already enjoying a string of successes at the start of the season. Oleksandr Bondarev (Prema Racing) in OK and Niklas Schaufler (DPK Racing) in OK-Junior won the WSK Champions Cup on 21st January and repeated the feat a week later, again on the Lonato circuit. However, the competition was even tougher at the opening round of the WSK Super Master Series 2024! Christian Costoya claimed his first podium of the 2024 season on the second race weekend, the WSK Super Master Series at Lonato. Temperatures remained cold, but the weather was fine. The number of drivers had increased since the WSK Champions Cup and the competition was really intense on the 1200 m of the famous Italian track.
