After progressing steadily and effectively in Mini and then Junior over the last few years, David Cosma Cristofor set out in OK-Senior in 2024 with determination. In the most difficult category of international karting, the one in which many great drivers have made their name, the 15-year-old Romanian hopeful was rewarded for his efforts with a first podium finish. During the third round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series on the difficult Slovakia Ring circuit, David Cosma Cristofor improved by 11 places in 23 laps to take a particularly rewarding 3rd place at the end of the final.

The stage is set for the third of ten double-header events this season in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine, taking place this weekend at the Zandvoort circuit, which also hosts the Dutch Formula 1 Grand Prix. This prestigious venue is among the highlights of the season, as the international series will be competing during one of the main DTM events, historically drawing a large number of enthusiasts to the stands of the track located on the shores of the North Sea.

The KR-IAME teams continue their winning run in the Champions of the Future Euro Series with a third victory in three races in OK and a return to the lead in OK-Junior. By finishing 3rd behind Noah Baglin after some incredible comebacks, Niklas Schaufler regained the overall lead in the Juniors. On the difficult Slovakia Ring, the Italian brand has certainly found the right way to optimise performance, from free practice to the finals.
