The new season of the German Kart Championship gets underway this weekend at Arena E in Mülsen. Approaching 190 drivers are expected to line up in six classes. There is a particular focus on youth development, as the “Road to DTM” programme has been expanded to include the German Kart Championship (DKM).

Fortec Motorsports has confirmed that rising Australian star James Wharton will join the team for both Silverstone GB3 Championship events this season. The 17-year-old from Melbourne is a race-winner in the Italian F4, ADAC Formula 4 and Euro 4 Championships, and is the 2023 UAE F4 champion. He began karting at the age of eight, winning the Australian Championship three years later before moving to Europe to continue his progression.

Iron Dames, the pioneering initiative dedicated to promoting women in sports, proudly announces its groundbreaking entry into the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA), which is welcoming its first-ever all-female line-up and joining the movement to promote and develop the brightest woman racing talents.

The official Kalì Kart Team will take part in an evocative race in Sicily on the Triscina track this weekend. In fact, Calogero Vanaria, founder of Kalì Kart, came from Sicily and this event is also a special occasion to remember him.

The second edition of the Swedish Championship for the Rotax E20 E-Kart will take place at the new Gellerasen Arena karting track at Karlskoga, incorporated into Sweden’s oldest motor racing circuit, on August 15-17. Two Rotax E20 classes will be closely contested at the historical ‘Kanonloppet’ (Canon Race), which was first run almost 75 years ago, together with the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia and an extensive motorsport program with an estimated 10,000 spectators attending.
