A combined South African Rotax Max National season opener and the annual winner-takes-all wildcard African Open delivered epic karting at Cape Town’s Killarney Kart Track over the weekend. With over 125 entries including a strong continental contingent from as far afield as Mozambique and Namibia, the twisty Killarney dished up a whole lot of great racing on a cloudy Cape autumn’s weekend.

The European OK and OK-Junior Championships have just got underway in Valencia, Spain, and Parolin Motorsport has already achieved convincing results in both categories. Costoya is still at the front of the field in OK-Junior, taking 3rd place in the Championship.

Following on from Birel ART's excellent performances in OK since the start of the season, Matheus Morgatto - CL Racing Team took 5th place in the standings at the end of the first round of the European Championship in Valencia, Spain. Noah Wolfe - VAR by Birel concluded with a strong Final climb of 11 places, while Ean Eyckmans - Birel ART Racing qualified in 5th position for the Final.

Sunday's opening round of the Mondokart.com FIA Karting European Championship - OK & Junior in Valencia lived up to all its promises, with spectacular and intense races rewarding some excellent drivers. The winners Gabriel Gomez (ITA) in OK and Dries van Langendonck (BEL) in Junior also lead the provisional standings in their respective categories.
