The opener of the WSK Open Series will take place at the Franciacorta Karting Track with categories MINI, OKNJ, OKN, KZ2 and KZ2 Masters. Following the important participation success and racing spectacle achieved in the recent championship with its four thrilling rounds of the WSK Super Master Series, WSK Promotion continues its brilliant streak in 2024 with the opening of the WSK Open Series at the Franciacorta Karting Track, where 250 drivers are expected to compete.

Lucas Lasserre’s Speedhouse team welcomes a new driver in Dani Briz, 17-year old karting star from Spain. Briz will drive the #33 Ford Mustang in the regularity division – the Club Challenge – as the newest driver to join Speedhouse’s developmental Academy Driver Program, which has produced many talents that have found their way to success in the official European NASCAR championship.

Iron Dames, the pioneering and successful project founded by Deborah Mayer to promote and support women in sports, is proud to announce the addition of two talented youngsters, Vicky Farfus and Mia Oger, both aged 12, to its ranks.

Sacha van 't Pad Bosch will represent the Netherlands in this year's FIA Karting Academy Trophy. The 14-year-old karting talent from Nijkerk was selected by the KNAF (Dutch Motorsport Federation) based on his achieved results and rapid progression.

The afternoon in Barcelona unfolded with the last two sessions of the tests, marking the official start of the 2024 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine season. The penultimate session kicked off right after the lunch break, with Sainteloc Racing’s Theophile Naël setting the pace, recording the best time of 1:37.583. Close behind the French driver, Brando Badoer (Van Amersfoort Racing) performed well, finishing less than three-tenths of a second off the pace.
