The first racing action kicked off at a sunny Aspar Circuit this morning with Team Spain enjoying home success in the opening Karting Sprint Jr Heat.

An enthralling opening battle for victory in Heat 1 Group 1 for the Karting Mini category came down to a side-by-side blast as Team Portugal eventually got the better of Team USA as the chequered flag waved.

BRP-Rotax will celebrate a quarter of a century since the Rotax MAX Grand Finals began back in 2000 when it returns for the third time to Circuito Internazionale di Napoli in Sarno, Italy from October 19-26. With close to 400 qualified drivers and their many supporters coming together from in excess of 60 nations to contest the most RMC Grand Finals titles yet at the season headline event, the excitement is already building. It's finals day! The third edition of the FIA Motorsport Games has officially begun. A total of 646 athletes from 82 countries will compete in no fewer than 26 categories, a significant increase from the 16 categories of last time in France and the six categories of the first edition in Italy.
