The Murray Bridge region will become a hype of activity next week for the opening round of the 2018 SP Tools Australian Kart Championship, presented by Castrol EDGE. With a record 291 entries having been received across the nine Championship Classes, the event will be the largest ever held at the Monarto Karting Complex since it opened almost a decade ago. In addition to every State and Territory in Australia, Competitors will travel from as far as New Zealand, Singapore, the Philippines, Taiwan and America to compete at the event

The offseason has been busy at Energy Corse with the CIK-FIA homologation of the new “Space” chassis for the 2018-2020 period and the launch of production. The first tests began in January and racing even resumed before the start of February at Adria. The competitiveness is already there within Mick Panigada’s team with very good performances in the two WSK Promotion events.

Already winner in his last race of 2017 in Spain, Alex Irlando has continued his winning streak for the opening of the international season. The Italian champion is the leader of KZ2 in the WSK Super Master Series after brilliantly winning the Adria Final. He is closely followed by the French hopeful Adrien Renaudin from the CPB Sport team. Sodi has started the development of its OK equipment in a very encouraging first run.
