Always looking to be innovative and adjust their program for the future, the World Karting Association (WKA) and Blue Shock Race Electric Karting have formed a partnership for Sprint racing programs in the United States. With exhibition races planned in 2024, the Electric kart class will be added full-time in the 2025 race season.

The DKM caravan heads south to Ampfing in Bavaria this weekend. After a year’s absence from the calendar, the 1,063-metre Schweppermannring welcomes back the drivers in the top German karting series. With 191 entrants, the number of competitors is even higher than at the season-opener. Conditions look set to be excellent this time, with springlike temperatures and sunshine.

Reflecting expectations, the first qualifying session of the year for the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine at the inaugural round at Hockenheimring was highly intense. Taking the first pole position of the year was Prema Racing’s Ferrari Driver Academy driver, Rafael Camara, rewarded for the hard work put in with the team over the winter to be ready for the season’s first event.
