Winfield Racing School returns to competition!
From 2025 onwards, Winfield Racing School will be officially entering three junior championships to support and guide drivers from the school as they launch their careers.
The school was crucial in the development of so many racing drivers in the past, and is targeting to help even more talented youngsters to forge a path in the highly-competitive sport. To achieve this, Winfield has decided to invest in three championships across Europe and the Middle East.
From its base at the Bahrain International Circuit, Winfield Middle East is creating a racing team, which will enter the F4 Middle East Championship. The series is a highly competitive one, with local teams joined by outfits from Europe and Asia, battling it out on renowned tracks such as Yas Marina and Jeddah. In the future, Winfield technical staff will include members of the training programme, offering an outlet to competition for motivated technicians.
Back in Europe, Winfield will enter teams into the Hoosier Formula Cup and the Ligier JS Cup France. The former, run by Ultimate Cup Series, is a spec-series contested with identical Tatuus T-318 F3 cars, and acts as a springboard to higher motorsport disciplines, in line with Winfield’s goals. The squad will compete in the Rookie Challenge category, which offers the winner €100,000 to participate in the European Prototype Cup in 2026.
Meanwhile, the Ligier JS Cup France is targeted at those looking to build a career in sportscars and endurance racing. The series also shares Winfield’s ambitions and offers reasonable pricing to drive the Ligier JS2 R. Winfield Racing School will compete in the Junior category, with the winner receiving €100,000 to race in the following season’s Ligier European Series.
Winfield Racing School’s desire to extend its training programmes to all motorsport professions will also be at the heart of this return to competition, with the discovery of young mechanics and engineers also a priority. Graduates of Winfield Middle East will be offered a role in the F4 Middle East Championship team, while the school in Europe is part of the training programme at the Lycée Professionel Frédéric Mistral in Marseille.
