Van Amersfoort Racing extends F4 line-up with Hiyu Yamakoshi

Van Amersfoort Racing announces that Japanese racer Hiyu Yamakoshi will compete with the team in the 2024 Italian F4 and EURO 4 Championships. Hiyu joins his recently announced teammate Alvise Rodella.

With 2023 being his first full year in single-seaters, Hiyu competed in both French and Spanish F4 where he took to the podium multiple times. The 17-year-old will now make his full-time debut on both the Italian F4 and Euro 4 grid, together with Van Amersfoort Racing.

"This should be an exciting year for Hiyu," says Van Amersfoort Racing CEO Rob Niessink. "We are delighted to have him in our line-up for this year’s Italian F4 and EURO 4 championships. Hiyu's experience in single-seater racing should benefit him this year, we’re very excited to see how he will perform."

"The Italian F4 and EURO 4 grids are known to be very competitive, and I cannot wait for the challenge!" Says Hiyu "I am very happy to be driving for Van Amersfoort Racing and look forward to learning and growing within the team, with the goal of good performances throughout the season."
