400 drivers also expected in Franciacorta’s round of the WSK Super Master Series

The WSK Super Master Series continues to present events of extraordinary importance, after the last round in Lonato, the fourth event at the Franciacorta Karting Track is ready to start, where 400 drivers are expected in the MINI, OKNJ, OKJ, OK and KZ2 categories.

The third round of the WSK Super Master Series held in Lonato has given new momentum to the championship standings in view of the final rush of the championship in the last two rounds of the series, on March 9th at the Franciacorta Karting Track and on March 16th at the renewed Leopard Viterbo Circuit, where the increased score for these last two rounds still leaves all possibilities open.

Several confirmations, but also new leaders at the top of the championship.

The championship is hard fought in all categories. In the third round of Lonato, there were several confirmations, as for the American Josh Bergman in the MINI U10 to his third consecutive victory, for the Dutchman Dean Hoogendoorn who in the OKJ boasted a good advantage after his second victory, and for the Belgian Dries Van Langendonck who in the OK pulled away over his opponents to the third podium. Very short standings instead for the KZ2, where the leadership has passed into the hands of Senna Van Walstijn, and for the MINI Gr3 where the fight between Xavier Lazzaro and Niccolò Perico is close, but here the standings are still sub judice.

MINI U10 – Bergman leads with three wins.

Josh Bergman (Kidix/KR-Iame-Vega) extends his lead in the championship thanks to his third consecutive success. The American driver reached 253 points, ahead of his teammate, the Caribbean Wynn Godschalk with 153 points. The pursuers are close, led by the Cypriot Andreas Papageorgiu (Monster K Factory/Monster K-TM kart) with 150 points, then the Italian Daniel Pasquali (CRG Racing Team/T-Group-TM Kart) winner of Prefinal-A with 128 and the Estonian Jan Ruudi Algre third on the podium of Lonato with 100 points.

MINI U10 Championship standings:
1st Bergman Josh (USA) points 253
2nd Godschalk Wynn (CUW) points 153
3rd Papageorgiu Andreas (CYP) points 150
4th Pasquali Daniel (ITA) points 128
5th Algre Jan Ruudi (EST) points 100

MINI GR.3 - Lazaro still in the lead ahead of Perico.

In the MINI GR.3, the standings are sub judice due to an appeal by Niccolò Perico (Team Driver/KR-Iame-Vega) at the end of the Prefinal won by the Italian driver. Perico then also won the Lonato Final, bringing himself to 236 points, significantly shortening the distance from the Portuguese Xavier Lazaro (DR/DR-TM Kart), winner of the last round in Sarno, who maintains the lead with 248 points.

Third in the championship but more adrift is the Italian David Moscardi (Novalux/Lenzokart-LKE), who totalled 112 points.

Gr.3 Championship standings (Sub-Judice):
1st Lazaro Zavier (PRT) points 248
2nd Perico Niccolò (ITA) points 236
3rd Moscardi David (ITA) points 112
4th Nanni Alessandro (ITA) points 107
5th Robertson Mason (GBR) points 98

OKNJ - Palacio still on top, but Stanley is close.

The American Lucas Palacio (KR Motorsport/KR-Iame-Vega) confirmed his lead in the OK-N Junior championship with 189 points thanks to the victory in La Conca and the second place claimed at the end of the battle of Lonato, but the other American Nicola Stanley (MP Academy Gamoto/Henza Kart-TM Kart-Vega) made a big leap forward with his victory in the Prefinal and in the Lonato Final. He moved to second position with 151 points. The Italian Michele Orlando (DR/DR-Modena Engines), on the podium of Lonato after the victory earned in Sarno, is currently third.

OKNJ Championship standings:
1st Palacio Lucas (USA) points 189

3rd Orlando Michele (ITA) points 143

OKJ - Hoogendoorn extends his lead.

The Dutchman Dean Hoogendoorn (Prema Racing/KR-Iame-Vega) claimed his second consecutive success in Lonato and reached 278 points in the championship, greatly extending the gap over his opponents. His teammate, the Englishman Noah Baglin, fourth in Lonato, stands now second with 183 points, while the Canadian Ilie Crisan Tristan (Tony Kart Racing Team/Tony Kart-Vortex) reached P3, bringing himself to 177 points.

OK - Van Langendonck leads with a good margin.

The Belgian Dries Van Langendonck (Prema Racing/KR-Iame-LeCont) confirms his leadership in the championship and gains further margin over his opponents after the third round in Lonato, despite a penalty for the front spoiler out of position that stripped him from his victory. However, with the success in the Prefinal and the third place in the Final, Van Langendonck reached 240 points, ahead of the Spaniard Christian Costoya (Parolin Motorsport/Parolin-TM Kart) with 172 points, and the winner of Lonato and the first round of La Conca, the Scottish Zac Drummond (Fusion Motorsport/KR-Iame), who is third with 171 points.

5th Pavan Sebastiano (ITA) points 113

KZ2 - Van Walstijn is the new leader.

The championship standings have changed again in the three rounds played so far. After the initial leadership of Stan Pex (SP Motorsport/KR-TM Kart-Vega) winner in La Conca, the success in Sarno handed the championship lead to Cristian Bertuca (BirelART Racing/BirelART-TM Kart). In the third round of Lonato, the Dutchman Senna Van Walstijn (CPB Sport/Sodikart-TM Kart) took the lead thanks to his victory over Bertuca (penalized for Track Limits).
