2024 ROK Cup Regulations

The new regulations for the 2024 ROK Cup have been approved by ACI SPORT. Here below you can find all the information and updates regarding the main changes introduced for the new season.

The Technical and Sporting Regulation of the ROK Cup Trophy 2024, as well as the ROK engines identification sheets (technical fiches), have been approved by ACI SPORT.

The confirmations and the changes regarding the Sporting Regulation are the following:

 

• Sporting Regulation:

Licenses and Age Groups
Admitted licenses and age groups for the ROK categories for 2024 are the same as those of 2023, except for the Expert ROK category in which only drivers from 32 years of age and over can participate (from 31 years of age if they turn 32 in 2024).

ROK Cup Italia: 8 rounds. To enter the championship final ranking, it is necessary to take part in at least 5 rounds and for the final ranking purposes, the best 5 results will be considered.

ROK Cup Sud: 6 rounds. To enter the championship final ranking, it is necessary to take part in at least 3 rounds and for the final ranking purposes, the best 4 results will be considered.

ROK Cup Superfinal: for Wild Card drivers with Italian licence the admission requirement for the ROK Cup Superfinal 2024 is the following:
     • to take part in 5 rounds of ROK Cup Italia 2024;
or
     • to take part in 4 rounds of ROK Cup Sud 2024.

 

Awards
In every single ROK Cup race in the Mini ROK category, a separate award ceremony will be introduced for the Under 10 drivers, in other words, in addition to the first 3 drivers classified in the final/RACE 1, the first 3 Mini ROK Under 10 drivers classified in the final/RACE 1 will also be rewarded.

All drivers born from January 1st, 2014 will be considered Mini ROK Under 10 drivers.

News and changes regarding the Technical Regulation and the ROK engines identification sheets / technical fiches are:

 

• Technical Regulation:

Mini ROK Category:
we reconfirm the same format also for the 2024 season, which involves the distribution and allocation by drawing lots of the engines hired by the Promoter for every ROK Cup Italia round and for some other races during the season, ROK Cup Winter Trophy included.

Transponder position in the Mini ROK category:
In the Mini ROK category, it is compulsory to place the transponder on the seat back on the left side (brake caliper side) not on the engine side.

Ignition:
For ROK Gp/ROK Gp Junior and ROK DVS engines, the use of the PVL ignition is allowed until 30/09/2024.
After this date, it will only be possible to use the Selettra ignition indicated in the engines identification sheets.

Power valve housing:
The option of using the new power valve housing and its related gasket has been included in the ROK Gp/ROK Gp Junior and ROK DVS engine technical fiches.

Spark plug:
For the ROK GP/ROK GP Junior, ROK DVS, and ROK Shifter engines, the mandatory use of the NGK B10 EG spark plug (already mandatory for the Mini ROK category) has been included in the engine technical fiches.

ROK DVS engine:
The ROK DVS Tillotson carburetor has been included in the engine technical fiche in addition to the ROK DVS Ibea carburetor.

Transmission:
For all ROK categories, except for the Shifter ROK category, only the use of the engine sprocket and of the rear sprocket for “219” chain type is admitted, as per ACI Sport Regulation.
Regarding the engine identification sheets (technical fiches), we report the main changes/additions as follows:

ROK Mini engine identification sheet (technical fiche):
The technical fiche has a new layout.
P.16 Added picture of the exhaust with the new ROK Mini logo.
P.20 Added 2 options, Option 1 / Option 2 for the sleeve of the intake silencer.

ROK Gp/ROK Gp Junior engine identification sheet (technical fiche):
P.5 Added Option 3 piston.
P.14 Added Option 2 power valve exploded view.
P.15 Added Option 2 power valve housing and gasket.
P.16 Updated exhaust slide valve drawing dimensions.
P.20 Added picture of the exhaust with the new ROK Gp logo.
P.25 Added deadline 30/09/2024 for the Option 1.
P.26 Mandatory use of the NGK B10 EG spark plug.
P.28 Added Option 2 for the radiator (it differs from the Option 1 only for the fixing system).
P.29 Added pulley drawing.

ROK DVS engine identification sheet (technical fiche):
P.13 Added Option 2 power valve exploded view.
P.14 Added Option 2 power valve housing and gasket.
P.15 Added exhaust slide valve drawing.
