2022 DEKM Race calendar: two classes for the next generation of E-racers

January 2022 marks the start of online registration for the German Electric Kart Championship (DEKM) for the 2022 season. Interested drivers can register on the website www.dekm.de. The race calendar includes four race weekends as part of well-known German kart racing series.

The season opener will take place together with the Rotax MAX Challenge Germany from June 24–26 at the Arena E kart track in Mülsen. It continues together with the ADAC Kart Masters at the beginning of July (01.–03.07.) in Oschersleben. For the second half of the season, the DEKM will again travel to Mülsen together with the DKM from August 12–14. The big season finale will also take place as part of the German Kart Championship from September 23–25 at ProKart Raceland in Wackersdorf.

2022 season with fundamental innovations
In addition to the mix of racing events at various national kart racing series, participants can look forward to further innovations. Together with technical partner BRP-Rotax, DEKM promoter IKmedia is announcing two classification classes in the 2022 DEKM season. In addition to the current senior e-karts, there will be a separate class for junior e-karts from next year. This will be for young drivers (born in 2008–2010). Participation in the senior class will be possible for drivers born in 2008 and older.

New from the coming season is also the change to MOJO racing tires. The MOJO D5 will be used as a slick, and in wet conditions, DEKM will rely on the MOJO W5 from 2022. The distribution of the racing tires and the associated handling will be carried out locally by BRP-Rotax.

Unique “Arrive & Drive Package”
The “DEKM Arrive & Drive Package” includes the provision of the e-karts including the kart-trolley as well as the transport to all events. In addition, participants receive comprehensive electrotechnical support and a joint data analysis after each session. Also included in the registration fee is the workplace for their own mechanic in the DEKM team tent. The registration fee for the complete season is 13.900 € incl. VAT. A registration for single race weekends is also possible and amounts to 3.500 € incl. VAT.

In addition, the first ten registered participants will receive a pre-booking right for a starting place at the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals 2022 as well as a discount on the entry fee of 15%. For the respective class winner, technical partner BRP-Rotax will give a starting ticket for the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals 2022.
