Gabriel Bortoleto was the undisputed star of the second Spanish round of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine, going for a fine victory after taking his first pole position this morning. 

Victor Bernier (FA Racing) made the best start to his race weekend in Barcelona by setting the fastest time in the first collective test, which officially kicked off the penultimate round of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine.

Prema Racing’s Paul Aron topped the first qualifying session (1m30.970s) for the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine round at Zandvoort, beating the reigning champion Grégoire Saucy last year’s record by three thousandths of seconds.

Two races and two different winners in the French rounds, with Paul Aron and Gabriele Minì coming out on top in the final race of the weekend.

The first of two day test at Barcelona officially kicked off the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine 2022 season. In a mix of wet and dry condition a number of 40 drivers have attended the first session in the morning. Gabriele Minì (ART Grand Prix) set the best time of 1:40.497 in the final stages. Dino Beganovic (Prema Racing) finished second, 0.288 seconds behind the Italian.

Victor Bernier won Saturday’s ADAC Formula 4 race at the Hockenehimring to claim his first victory of the season. 

The first wins of the season for US Racing driver Tim Tramnitz (16) and Nikita Bedrin (15, Van Amersfoort Racing) from Russia took centre stage in ADAC Formula 4 on Sunday at the Hockenheimring.

Oliver Bearman from the Van Amersfoort Racing team won the opening ADAC Formula 4 race at the Hockenheimring.

World Karting Champion in 2018 and French F4 Junior Champion in 2019, Victor Bernier has just experienced a remarkable season in ADAC F4 with a total of six podiums including two victories. French teenager Victor Bernier (16, R-ace GP) registered his second ADAC Formula 4 victory of the season in a spectacular third race at the DEKRA Lausitzring on Sunday, while British driver Jonny Edgar (16, Van Amersfoort Racing) further cemented his title claim by finishing fourth. After a dramatic DNF for his team-mate and main rival Jak Crawford (15, USA), who won the second round on Sunday morning, Edgar now takes a 23-point advantage into the grand finale next weekend at Oschersleben. Meanwhile, joy knew no bounds for Tim Tramnitz (15, Germany, US Racing) as the ADAC Sports Foundation protégé clinched the Best Rookie classification ahead of time with two strong performances on Sunday.
 

The Van Amersfoort Racing duo of Jonny Edgar (16, England) and Jak Crawford (15, USA) were once again in a class of their own. The two team-mates shared the spoils of victory in the races on Sunday at the Red Bull Ring, so it now seems highly likely that the two of them will be going head-to-head as the title chase enters the home straight. Red Bull Motorsport advisor Helmut Marko was at the circuit to watch his juniors.

Jonny Edgar (16, Van Amersfoort Racing) appears to be well on course to win the ADAC Formula 4 championship title. The British teenager took his fifth victory of the season at the Red Bull Ring in Austria and further extended his lead at the top of the table. Edgar beat off competition in the first round of the weekend from France’s Victor Bernier (16, R-ace GP) and Jak Crawford (15, USA, Van Amersfoort Racing) and now heads the overall standings with a 40-point lead on the American. Two more races on the famous track near Spielberg in Styria are set to follow tomorrow. Edgar will again be on pole for the start of Race 2 on Sunday.
