There will once again be a total of 21 races contested over seven events timed to coincide with the ADAC GT Masters weekends. On the technical side, the junior series has opted for continuity, with Formula 1 supplier Pirelli retained as exclusive tyre partner. ADAC Formula 4 will continue to offer talented youngsters from Germany and abroad a competitive platform for entering the world of formula racing in the coming year. The Audi pairing of Max Hofer (21, AUT) and Christopher Haase (33, GER, both Montaplast by Land Motorsport) won by a margin of only 0.147 seconds ahead of Indy Dontje (27, NL) and Maximilian Götz (34, GER) in the Mercedes-AMG of Mann-Filter-Team HTP-Winward. The gripping team-internal duel between the two top drivers, Jonny Edgar (16, England) and Jak Crawford (15, USA), goes into the next round on the penultimate race weekend of the 2020 campaign at the DEKRA Lausitzring (30th October - 1st November). Still hoping to break the dominance of the Van Amersfoort duo and snatch the title in the short time remaining is Elias Seppänen (16, Finland, US Racing). Races 16 to 18 are likely to prove decisive. The venue may be the same as the opening weekend, but the track will have a completely different configuration. This time, the drivers will be competing on a 4.75km variant - i.e. approximately one kilometre longer than the sprint layout - which likewise comprises sections of the oval perimeter and the infield. The Red Bull Junior from England seized the initiative with a lightning-fast start from third place on the grid and followed up with an assured drive. Second place went to Joshua Dürksen (16, Berlin, ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg e.V.) ahead of Finland's Elias Seppänen (16) who drives for reigning team champions US Racing.
