Even though South Africa has now moved into Level 4 lockdown, the picture is unfortunately no clearer as to when our sport will be able to resume. The only good news is that each day that passes means one day closer to going racing, whenever this may eventually be!

The Coronavirus emergency stopped production, sporting events and everything that could help the virus spread, motorsport from F1 to Karting has made no exception. All FIA Karting and National Championship have been postponed to a later date and a lot of factories in this sector have shut down.

Italy is currently among the countries most affected by Coronavirus and the consequences that this global emergency is generating on karting are both sporting and productive. Italy represents an unparalleled world centre in terms of production chain and, at the same time, many competitive events of international importance such as the WSK races are held in our country. It is therefore clear how the current emergency has an impact on the whole world of karting.

Parmasport Ssd, as the organizer of the Andrea Margutti Trophy scheduled for next Sunday, March 1^st, 2020, following the recent “Coronavirus” emergency issued by the Italian Health Ministry, in agreement with Regione Lombardia, communicates that due to force majeure reasons not attributable to the organizer, the race is postponed to a later date to be decided.
