The first appointment of the Champions Of The Future is reserving another two podium for Vortex, second in the OKJ with Freddie Slater and third in OK with Nikita Bedrin
OKJ: Among the 14 Vortex DJT engines present on the OKJ line-up, the one of Freddie Slater (Ricky Flynn Motorsport) steps up onto the podium of the first round of the Champions Of The Future.
The Englishman, in the year of his debut in the international races, recovers 6 positions from the eighth box obtained at the end of Prefinal and is also the best of the drivers equipped with Vortex engines fighting for the best lap on Friday, gaining the second place. The third position of the qualifying heats, instead, is the one conquered by Coskun Irfan (Ricky Flynn Motorsport), protagonist of the weekend with 2 victories in the heats and two positions in top ten in Prefinal and Final, where he also scores the best lap.
Alexander Gubenko (Kosmic Kart Racing Department) is eighth at the end of the decisive race, in which he overtakes 7 opponents exploiting the great performance of the Vortex engine by OTK Kart Group. The last Vortex engine in the first ten is the one of Karol Pasiewicz (Tony Kart Racing Team) unlucky for most of the weekend, but able to carry out an amazing sixteen-position comeback right in the decisive race. Difficult weekend also for Tuukka Taponen (Tony Kart Racing Team), winner of a heat, but then victim of a withdrawal in Prefinal.
OK: Almost half of the top-ten of the Senior final is signed Vortex with 4 DST engines in the first ten final positions. The best result is centred by Nikita Bedrin (Ward Racing) able of climbing onto the third step of the podium after an amazing weekend. The Russian is actually able to gain two victories in the Qualifying Heats, two best laps, a third place after a good comeback in Prefinal and the second place in the Qualifying Practices, proving the performance constancy of the Vortex engine in the top category of the direct drive karts. Immediately behind him, we find Joseph Turney(Tony Kart Racing Team) who is achieving the second position in Prefinal, after recovering in all the Heats. With Vortex also Norton Andreasson(Ward Racing) is brilliantly standing out: the Swede is actually seventh in Final and centres the best lap too, but is also the author of a first place in the heats. Great victory in the heats for Andreasson’s teammate as well, Noah Degnbol.
Back to the final, Lorenzo Travisanutto (Tony Kart Racing Team) closes the top-ten, protagonist in the fight for top positions until a contact forces him to lose positions after going off the track.
