Prema Racing’s Paul Aron returned to the top of the timesheets to set the pace in the opening Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine collective test at Zandvoort.
The Estonian driver, fresh winner of the first race at Paul Ricard, was ahead of MP Motorsport bearer Michael Belov and Mari Boya (ART Grand Prix), second and third at the end of the session.
In the final part of the test, despite some red flags, several drivers improved including the championship leader Dino Beganovic (Prema Racing). The Swedish obtained the fourth best time ahead of three rookies: Sami Meguetounif (MP Motorsport), Leonardo Fornaroli (Trident Motorsport) and Esteban Masson (FA Racing).
Gabriele Minì (ART Grand Prix), Kas Haverkort (Van Amersfoort Racing) and Noel Leon (Arden Motorsport) rounded out the top-ten.
