After the two days of official testing, with wet track yesterday morning, and dry track in the afternoon and today, of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine, co-organized by ACI Sport and Alpine and certified by FIA, the fastest of the 35 drivers at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is Kas Haverkort with Van Amersfoort Racing. Behind him are two ART Grand Prix drivers, Gabriele Minì and Mari Boya. Esteban Masson with FA Racing is fourth, while Dino Beganovic (Prema Racing) is fifth. The 2021 Vice-Champion, Hadrien David (R-ace GP) is sixth, while Sami Meguetounif (Arden Motorsport) is seventh, followed by Joshua Duerksen, also driving with Arden Motorsport. Ninth is Tim Tramnitz (R-ace GP) and tenth is Sebastian Ogaard (Van Amersfoort Racing).
Beyond the final results, which are only partially indicative of the potential of each driver and team, as the two testing days have evidently been focused on improving setups and feelings with the Formula Alpine cars, with many new Rookie drivers testing the car for the first time, it is indeed important to note how the lap times are once more extremely close with the first 22 drivers within 0.9 seconds, and 9 different teams in the first 15 positions.
Below are the detailed results of the 8 test sessions held in the two days, and the combined overall best lap times:
