Claudio Flenghi, co-founder of TM Racing, passed away on Sunday 12th July 2020 at the age of 79. With his passing, a great figure of karting has gone. Since 1977, TM Racing engines have shone in kart racing, where over the years they have attained a dazzling track record, while the brand was also successfully developing a range of competition motorcycles.
Passionate about two-stroke racing mecahnics, Claudio Flenghi was the instigator of the engines that have been so successful in karting. His philosophy consisted of designing and homologating the best possible engines to serve as a basis for the tuners who then made them triumph in competition. Underneath his public discretion and legendary humility in the face of success, Claudio Flenghi was nonetheless a formidable competitor, both on the track and in business. He always strove to do better, not only than others, but above all, than himself. His son Filippo and his faithful technician Franco Drudi, who have been trained in the most successful way, will now be in charge of building on the legacy of their mentor.
