MotorSport Vision (MSV) is delighted to announce its long-standing, successful relationship with the British Racing Drivers’ Club (BRDC) will continue for a tenth successive season in 2022, with existing support for the GB3 Championship expanding to include the new GB4 Championship, which launches next year.
The history between the BRDC and series organiser MSV dates back to the GB3 Championship’s inception as BRDC F4 in 2013, and the series has helped produce a conveyor belt of professional racing talents since then, with several becoming high-profile BRDC members. These include two of F1’s current stars in George Russell and Lando Norris, alongside drivers who have forged top class careers in sports car and GT racing such as Ross Gunn, Seb Morris and Charlie Robertson.
MSV’s ongoing partnership with the BRDC entitles GB3 and GB4 drivers to a range of exclusive benefits, including entry to the iconic BRDC Clubhouse for competitors and up to three family members at the two rounds on the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit.
The championships will also receive high profile media support from the BRDC, which provides coverage through its own communication channels, both online and in print.
In addition, the GB3 champion will continue to be awarded the specially commissioned Jim Clark Trophy, modelled on the F1 legend’s distinctive Buco helmet. This will be presented at the prestigious BRDC Annual Awards at the end of the year.
Should the champion be British, they’ll also be eligible for BRDC SuperStar status, through which the club actively promotes the racing activities of handpicked talents.
All GB3 and GB4 cars will carry prominent BRDC logos, which will also be visible on driver overalls, paddock vehicles, the racewinners’ podium and the championship’s various online channels.
In recognition of the importance of the relationship, both championships will be rebranded as “Partnered by the BRDC”, with immediate effect.

The BRDC Board and I’m sure all the club’s members share my enthusiasm for giving ambitious, frequently modestly funded British drivers the best opportunities to learn, develop, prove and showcase their talent to give them the best chance to realise their goals, which may be F1, sports cars or touring cars. I am extremely proud of particularly George Russell, who came to prominence winning our BRDC F4 Championship in 2014, using that platform to help him on his path to become a star of F1.
