British youngster Leon Wilson will remain with the Arden Motorsport team for a second campaign in the GB4 Championship.
The Yorkshire-based contender showed plenty of promise in his first car racing season of any sort last year, with a podium finish at Silverstone in just his fifth race being a major highlight. Wilson returned a dozen top-10 finishes across the year, and his efforts culminated in a strong run of six in a row to end the season on a high.
He also showed his speed with two fastest laps and six top-four qualifying results, with front-row starts at Silverstone and Donington Park further demonstrating his potential. Prior to his graduation into racing, Wilson had been a member of Arden’s Young Racing Driver Academy, having enjoyed success in karting, including stints in the British School Karting Championship. Having sampled the new Tatuus MSV GB4-025 machine in testing last summer, Wilson has now recommitted to the Banbury-based squad, with both driver and team looking forward to continuing his upward trajectory.
Leon Wilson said: “It’s been an incredible journey for me so far, with Arden Motorsport and their Young Racing Driver’s Academy. Not coming from a racing background, and having little previous racing experience, it’s been a steep learning curve for me. We entered last year’s championship a year ahead of expectations; we had plenty of highs, and some lows and also learnt a few lessons with advice from MSV in both pre- and post-race situations, but the overall experience will stand me in good stead for this year’s championship.”

Arden Motorsport Team Principal Garry Horner said: “Leon is a great example of a driver that has come through the ranks with us, and his GB4 performances really improved as the season went on. We’re confident he can use that experience to push on to the next level in 2025, and though there’s a new car to work with, he’s already had some experience of it and that should give him a head start once we commence pre-season testing.”
