Next year, ADAC Formel 4 enters its eighth season with a new car, an impressive calendar featuring five former or current Grand Prix circuits, and a larger prize purse. A total of € 150,000 in cash and non-cash prizes are up for grabs in ADAC Formula 4 in 2022. Registration for the 2022 season is open, and teams have until 15th March to sign up to the series. ADAC Formula 4 has continued the tradition of ADAC’s successful promotion of young drivers since 2015 and has established itself as a springboard to professional motorsport. In Lando Norris, Mick Schumacher and next year’s Alfa Romeo driver Guanyu Zhou, three former ADAC Formula 4 drivers have already made it into Formula 1. As of next season, competitors in the junior series can look forward to an even bigger prize purse of € 150,000. As well as cash rewards, attractive non-cash prizes are also up for grabs. For example, the ADAC Formula 4 champion will receive € 50,000, while the top rookie will pick up a check for € 10,000 plus ten sets of Pirelli slicks. Teams that decide in good time to compete in ADAC Formula 4 in 2022 and register by 15th February will benefit from attractive deals. Registration is possible online at adac.de/formel4. From the season-opener on 22nd April at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, to the season finale at the Nürburgring on 16th October, the 2022 ADAC Formula 4 calendar comprises 18 attractive races at international racetracks. The new 180-hp car, which was presented in Hockenheim in October, will also be used in ADAC Formula 4 for the first time. The second generation of car continues to put its faith in the tried-and-tested technology package consisting of a chassis from Tatuus in Italy, tyres from Formula 1 supplier Pirelli, and an engine from Fiat Abarth. It is also the first ADAC Formula 4 car to feature the “Halo” role bar, as has become familiar in Formula 1, Formula 2 and Formula 3. 2022 ADAC Formula 4 calendar
