The final race day of Karting Australia’s GoPro Summer Series saw more history created with Alana Gurney being the first female driver to win a Gold Medal at a Summer Series Event.  The Victorian claimed the Gold Medal in the Cadet 12 Feature Race, while Henry Johnstone turned the tables on Jay Coul after Saturday’s Feature to take Gold in KZ2.

Victorian Jay Coul and Queenslander Oskar Hennock scored their first national Karting Australia wins during Saturday’s action at the Australian Summer Series presented by GoPro in Melbourne.

The Cordato brothers - Leon and Lewis - both scored medals on race day two of the first event of the 2024 GoPro Summer Series presented by GoPro, with Leon winning Gold in KZ2 and Lewis a Bronze in his national Senior racing debut in TaG - while Tommy Risk and Jack Bartlett backed up Saturday’s Gold in their respective categories.

Henry Johnstone has completed one of the most dominant SP Tools Australian Kart Championship final appearances to win the first round of KZ2 at Monarto in the river city of Murray Bridge, South Australia. He was not headed in the final and took the win by over six seconds in his BirelART machine. Grabbing his best finish in KZ2 was Championship stalwart, Reece Cohen, who had put in a summer of hard work off-track to finish third. Entries for the opening round of the 2023 SP Tools Australian Kart Championship presented by Castrol EDGE in Murray Bridge on March 3-5 have reached record numbers with more than 350 entries having been received.

Josh Fife has claimed his second SP Tools KZ2 Australian Kart Championship, presented by Castrol EDGE in Newcastle on Sunday after an epic series of races that saw a three way title fight go right down to the 25 lap final.

Josh Fife has taken the lead of the KZ2 standings in the 2022 SP Tools Australian Kart Championship after an almost perfect weekend at the penultimate round of the series at Emerald in Central Queensland. The former Champion dominated the 25-lap final on Sunday afternoon in the Championship presented by Castrol EDGE.
