The 52nd Trofeo Delle Industrie ready to start in Lonato

The South Garda Karting in Lonato is ready to host the big sporting event of the 52nd edition of the Trofeo delle Industrie, race organized by Parma Motorsport from October 24th to 27th, 2024.

The 52nd Trofeo delle Industrie by Parma Motorsport, taking place from October 24th to 27th, is sure to be a top-notch spectacle. With a record-breaking turnout of approximately 320 drivers and a complete starting grid in the MINI, OKJ, KZ2, OKN, and OKNJ categories, Lonato is all set to host an exceptional international karting event.

Many of this season’s key players, alongside established champions and a lot of young drivers eager to make their mark, will be competing in this event. The Trofeo delle Industrie, with its long history dating back to 1971 at the legendary Parma Kartodrome thanks to the initiative of its founder, the late Umberto Pellegrini, continues to grow in prestige. Today, his children, Tiziano, Donatella, and Germano, are successfully carrying on this legacy, and this year’s edition boasts a field of drivers from 47 nations.

MINI Gr.3 Under 10 – The youngster category full of new stars.

Many very young drivers will line up in the Under 10 category, a total of 66 baby drivers. They are led by many “new stars” such as the winner of the last edition, Nicolò Perico, racing with Energy Corse, David Moscardi with Team Driver, Lorenzo Di Pietrantonio with Baby Race, Antonio Ianni with CRG Racing Team, Jean Poujol with Tony Kart Racing Team, and many others, many of whom are capable of reaching the top.

MINI Gr.3 – A lot of champions on track.

Many champions entered the MINI Gr.3 category where 54 young drivers aged 10 will compete. Among them is the Swiss driver Albert Tamm with BabyRace and his teammates Julian Frasnelli and Stan Ratajski, who will have to contend with the fierce Team Driver duo of Daniel Miron Lorente and Oleksandr Legenkyi. Additionally, Achille Rea is back with CRG Racing Team and Oliver Sini with Tony Kart Racing Team. Even here, the outcome will be uncertain until the very end.

OKJ – A full grid of new protagonists.

In the international OKJ category, which is full with 54 drivers, Valerio Viapiana with Team Driver stands out, having moved up from OK-N Junior. Other sure contenders in this category include Filippo Sala with Forza Racing along with the Walz brothers, also with Forza Racing. Billy Van Staveren, making his OKJ debut with Ward Racing, is another strong contender. The previous year’s MINI Gr.3 winner, Noah Baglin, is back with Prema Racing. Ilia Berezkin with Monster K Factory Team, Roman Kamyab and William Calleja with Ricky Flynn Motorsport, Qarrar Firhand with Parolin Motorsport, Gianmatteo Rousseau and Vladimir Ivannikov with Energy Corse are all ready to prevail.

KZ2 – The new world champion Bertuca leads the favourites to the win.

In the KZ2 category, with 50 drivers on the grid, the standout name is Cristian Bertuca, the newly crowned world champion with BirelART Racing. He secured the world title in the last race in Portimao, Portugal. Among the protagonists, worth mentioning are Alessio Piccini with Modena Kart, Angelo Lombardo with Maranello paired with Markus Kajak, Michael Barbaro Paparo with Monster K Factory Team, the young Samuele Leopardi with Zanchi Motorsport, Ethan Frigomosca with Renda Motorsport, the ever-present Andrea Dalè with CRG, William Lanzeni with EKS, Giacomo Pollini with King Racing Team, and the 2023 (and also 2016 and 2017) winner Riccardo Longhi with KCS Racing.

OKN and OKNJ – A lot of drivers are also in the two new federal categories.

The two new federated categories, OKN and OKNJ, have also attracted a large number of drivers, with a total of 90 entries. In the OKN category, the newly crowned Italian champion Federico Rossi with PRK will face a host of top-level opponents, such as Riccardo Ferrari with M2 Racing, Nicolas Marchesi with Team Driver, Sebastiano Pavan with Ward Racing, Antonio Apicella with GSR Team, Leon Hedsorf with DR, Juliusz Ociepa with Novalux, Manuel Scognamiglio with Tellone Motorsport, Danny Carenini with Zanchi Motorsport, and many others. Similarly, there will be many contenders for victory in the OKN Junior category, including Cristian Tonalini with Magik Racing Team, Michele Orlando with DR, Nicola Stanley with Gamoto, Mark Pilipenko with Fusion Motorsport, Marco Decker with MGL, Gioele Girardello with Modena Kart, and Max Verstappen’s nephew, Henri Kumpen, with Jana Racing. There are many promising drivers in both categories, all eager to make their mark.
