Rotax Max Grand Finals 2010: Team USA is proud to present
Published by Bas Kaligis 11 november 2010 16:10 - Print | | Team USA heads to Italy with largest delegation ever to race at the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals. Team USA, working with partners in the karting industry, are proud to announce that TEAM USA will be covered throughout all six official days of racing action. With two major events taking place on the same weekend, getting coverage in place was no easy task. Working with industry leader Howden Media Group and Team USA sponsor Ocala Gran Prix, the largest delegation will be well covered on the biggest weekend in karting in 2010.
Stepping up in a big way to support the effort is Anthony Gangi Sr. owner of G7 Motorsports. Team driver Anthony Gangi Jr. is coming off an incredible year taking the US Rotax Grand Nationals Micro Max title, Florida Winter Tour Micro Max class Championship, a second Northeast RMax Challenge Micro Max title and #1 Rotax Micro Max National Ranking all in one season. The G7 Motorsports team has been a major supporter of the Rotax program in the US and was ecstatic to be able to support the American squad.
“We are really proud to be supporting Team USA at the Grand Finals. I was really glad to be able to help this awesome group of drivers,” comments Gangi Sr. “I know they can do the Red, White and Blue proud over in Italy.”
The team is prepped and ready to compete. A series of official team tests were recently organized by the Ocala Grand Prix staff as the Team USA squad looks to deliver another championship effort. In 2009, Team USA took third in the Nations Cup. Ranking as the largest contingent at 20 drivers over the four official classes, expectations and excitement are running high.
“Our guys had a great year in 2009 earning a Nations Cup podium,” smiles Team USA Manger, Marshall Martin. “This year we are even stronger and should be there come the finals on Sunday.”
Team USA coverage will include daily reports and photos beginning on Tuesday November 16th with the unique Kart Raffle. Karts hit the track on Wednesday for first of four practice sessions that end on Tuesday with official qualification. The coverage will be posted to eKartingNews.com immediately following the close official sessions at 6:00 PM local time. This should coincide with 12 noon EST and 9:00 AM PST. A link will posted to the event Live Timing so fans can get up to minute complete results. A forum thread will be posted and moderated so be sure to post your best wishes.
