The agonistic season of the Tony Kart Racing Team will start officially, as always, at the track in Lonato. On Sunday, the 21st of February, the 15th edition of the Winter Cup will be for our team the first agonistic event of 2010 season. It will be possible to evaluate the work carried out until now on the new Vortex RAD engines, homologated for the three-years period 2010/2013.
The impressions regarding the new Vortex engines were already positive but now Tony Kart will has the possibility to confront them directly with their rivals to have a more concrete feed-back for the work. The Tony Kart drivers will have at their disposal the Tony Kart top range chassis, the Racer EVR and the Krypton KRX, in the main class, SKF, and they will use Vega tires.
So this race will be important from several points of view, of course the main aim of the staff will the evaluation of the new technical package composed by Vortex engines, Tony Kart chassis and Vega tires.
For sure it will be quite cold, probably the temperatures will be the lowest of the whole season.
From a sporting point of view on the occasion of the Winter Cup the Argentinean driver Josè Antonio Olmedo will make his début in the Tony Kart Racing Team.
