Published by Bas Kaligis 6 december 2009 00:54 - Print | | The 10th Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals will take place on the awesome desert track of Ghibli Raceway – Sharm El-sheikh, Egypt from 7th to 12th of December 2009. After the finals of 2003 hosted in January 2004 the grand finals return to Egypt to the peninsula of Sinai. Sharm El-sheikh being one of the top tourist and diving destinations in the world is definitely the right destination for the 10th anniversary of the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals.
Traditionally the drivers from countries like Great-Britain, The Netherlands, South-Africa, South America, Asia, Australia, Canada, Japan and New-Zealand are very strong. The United States of America will also send a big and competitive team. From Asia counties like Indonesia and Malaysia are strong. But there will be always surpises from other countries world wide. So we can expect a tough and entertaining battle for the prestigious Grand Finals.
The Junior Max will be a very though battle with the best drivers from all over the world. Last year Argentine Facundo Chapur won the Grand Finals. This year we can expect good performances from the Britain drivers Edward Brand, Matthew Parry and Josh Webster. Ferenc Kanscar from Hungary, Kay van Kemenade from The Netherlands and Aavo Talvar from Estonia might be at the front. Also in Junior the are many more strong and experienced drivers who can win the Junior crown.
