In fact CRG-Maxter Team for Japan is formed by the champion in charge Davide Forč, by the winner of 2006 edition Arnaud Kozlinski, by the holder of the KZ1 World Cup Jonathan Thonon from Belgium and by the fighting and fast driver Eddy Tinini. This CRG-Maxter participation is therefore in grand style, a return to this competition after some years of absence.
The last success of CRG in this race dates back to 1999 with the victory in the corresponding category “Formula Super A” of Vitantonio Liuzzi who is nowadays a F1 pilot. The edition of the year 2000 run in Japan but in that occasion in Montegi the title of “Formula A” was won by the present F1 World champion Lewis Hamilton and his Racing Team Chiesa, while Davide Forč won the “Formula Super A” inserting for the first time his name in the Golden Roll of the category. Earlier before it was Danilo Rossi to win for CRG in 1992 the “Formula K” and in 1994 it was Luca Casazza in “Formula A”.
CRG-Maxter will be taking part this year with all its credentials to be able to aim at victory after a very positive start of both the WSK International Series and the European Championships raced up to now. In WSK Kozlinski proved to be a serious candidate to win the title in Super KF while Thonon and Forč were absolute leaders in KZ2. Their target is anyway to win the European Championships and the World Cup starting from the event in Suzuka.
In Japan another protagonist who will draw great attention is the British Oliver Rowland who will be assisted during the race by the Team Chiesa Corse with a LH-Lewis Hamilton chassis produced and marketed by CRG.
Two Japanese drivers will also be present in Suzuka with CRG chassis in “Super KF”, they are Takeharu Nakamori of Kart Club Musashino and Kazushi Sano of Strega Team. Both Super KF and KF1 categories will be racing here with the Japanese Masaki Mori of Sugiyama Racing using CRG chassis.
Apart from the Super KF World Cup also the Asia Pacific Championship will be taking place in Susuka at the same time with the KF2 category where the “CG Team Japan” will be running with the drivers Fumiya Nakayama and Ryuya Fujie. Also other drivers with CRG chassis will join this event, as Kazumi Osada of Team Hirano, Rintaro Kubo of Sugiyama Racing and Hatayo Kurosawa of Silkroad Racing Team.-
