Now that many kart drivers turn earlier and earlier to single-seaters, Auto Sport Academy and the Grand Prix Open Karting FFSA (GPOs) have just concluded an important partnership agreement for the 2009 season, in order to offer young drivers the best international channel to reach the top. As a major actor of karting renewed importance in France, the promoter of the GPOs could not leave car sporting out of his project.
Thierry Germanovitch firmly believes that «the professionals of promotion formula» should not be allowed to come and «do their shopping» in the French Championship if drivers cannot be guaranteed
the best opportunities and chances. This is why Auto Sport Academy has become a favourite choice, now that the Formul’Academy enjoys a
worldwide reputation thanks to its training and teaching resources,
which accompany drivers in the highly forming experience of the «Euro Series», a series that over the last few years has attracted many great drivers, including Sébastien Bourdais, four-time winner of the US Car Champ.
In addition to that, Auto Sport Academy knows the importance of keeping close contact with top-level karting , at a time when this sport finds itself at an important turning point. Seduced by the GPO concept, Auto Sport Academy, through its director Laurent Sénéchal, is intensifying its efforts to attract and encourage young French and foreign karting talents. To that purpose, it will use, in particular, Club GPO’s VIP space, which will be installed on the circuits to enhance visibility and, most of all, to maintain productive contacts with the protagonists of tomorrow’s car sporting.
The best GPO drivers will be offered a 100% free day of tests in Formula Academy. The first 3 drivers of each category (SKF, KF2, KF3 and KZ2) in the final French Championship (GPO) ranking will therefore have a chance to show their driving skills in one of the best formulas and, maybe, to achieve some good performances with their single-seaters in front of journalists and observers.
But the GPO / Auto Sport Academy partnership goes even further!
Auto Sport Academy will also invite one GPO driver per meeting to a test day in Formula Academy. The selection will be made by a representative from Auto Sport Academy and by the GPO promoter, based on drivers’ performances or remarkable skills. On that occasion, foreign drivers will also be carefully observed.
By this new exclusive partnership, the GPOs confirm that things are moving and that expectations will not be disappointed on the first round at Angerville, on 28-29 March. There will be many nice surprises over the next 7 weeks of preparation: do not forget to have a look at them on: gpokarting.com. |
