|For the new three-year period, starting from 2009 to 2011, Tony Kart has homologated two new chassis, fruit of the best experiences and technical innovations, which have been set up in Tony Kart factory. The new range of chassis provides 2 new models, called Racer EVR and Krypton KRX: these new models synthesize the best engineering resources of the Tony Kart research and development department. |
Thanks to the hard work carried out synergically by the technical department and the Tony Kart Racing Team, an on track testing program have been conducted of the components to ensure the highest quality on the accessories and technical components in the highest competitive environments.
RACER EVR: This model, available for both KF and KZ categories, represents the natural evolution of the EVXX, the chassis which allowed Tony Kart to win all the most noble CIK-FIA competitions, including the World Championship, in these last years.
The EVR is composed by a frame realized with Ø 30 mm tubes and the Racing version is equipped, like the other new model, with the new M4 bodyworks and the new WTD (Wind Tunnel Design) stickers.
This top chassis is provided with OTK magnesium accessories. The OTK brake systems BS6 and BS7 are still one of the most important features characterising both the former model and the new one.
All the technical evolutions of this new RACER EVR are aimed at maintaining the technical potential unchanged.
KRYPTON KRX: This chassis, revised in the frame design, is equipped with Ø 32 mm and is able to offer very high level performances and is suitable for the KF and particularly the KZ category. The top quality chassis of the KRYPTON range as well as the RACER EVR, is always provided with OTK accessories in magnesium and the brake system can be equipped with a Ø 206 mm rear brake disc, instead of the Ø 180 mm. Krypton KRV will be provided with the new OTK M4 bodyworks and WTD stickers.
All chassis in TONY KART range are available in the 2 versions, Racing and Competition, and will be provided with the new OTK rear protection. As mentioned about the brake system it will be possible to choose between the rear brake disc of Ø180 mm or Ø206 mm.
OTK M4 Bodyworks: One of the most interesting items within the accessories section which have been homologated for the next three-year period is the M4 bodyworks.
The design of the new plastics resulted from several hours spent in the wind tunnel. The plastics have been optimized in order to reach an optimal aerodynamic penetration and to allow the air flow to invest the engine, the radiator and the brake systems in the best way during the races.
Some items of the bodyworks have been renewed such as the side boxes that are thinner, the front spoiler equipped with important appendages and the rear protection. This latter element is extremely contained in weight and dimensions in the new version.
Wind Tunnel Design Graphics (WTD): The new graphical design characterizes the sophisticated work carried out in the Wind Tunnel made its winning début on the occasion of the last World Championship.
The new design was the outcome of a brilliant intuition of our designer, who wanted to fossilize the fluid veins characterizing the bodyworks of our karts at high speed. The new livery maintains the clear green bands converging to the front, combining them with the spectacular flow of green, white and red threads. The chromatic basis is still pearl white, but with a higher percentage of glitter. This latter component has been increased in order to underline the brilliantly of the material in images, pictures and videos.
