In the present economic climate, it would take a very brave parent to launch their child’s national Cadet karting career. Especially as you’d need to find a budget somewhere between £15,000 and £30,000.
For those of us not blessed with bank balances that make premiership footballers look like impoverished slaves, ACR and Club 100 are introducing the Easykart Cadet 60 class to run alongside their existing, and hugely successful, Easykart Senior and Junior categories.
Series promoter, John Vigor of Club 100 said; “We’re really excited about Easykart 60. It’s for 8 to 12-year olds and the complete kart - the chassis, engine, wheels and tyres, everything – will retail for around £1,450. We estimate that it will cost £1,000 to contest the full Championship.”
The Easykart 60 series is expected to start in March 2009, once the kart has satisfied the MSA’s noise and speed criteria for Cadet classes.
