After careful preparation by the FFSA, season 2011 of the French Karting Championships is now getting ready for its debut. The season will begin with the GPO of Varennes sur Allier, to be held in late March, and will have a calendar especially conceived not to interfere with other important races. Invitations to tender have now been concluded: Vega will be the official GPO manufacturer for the 3 years to come, while oil producer Elf remains the fuel supplier. Everything is ready: it is time to register online !
Satisfied with the formula, the FFSA has decided to invite again other categories to join the GPO 2011 meetings, where KF2, KF3, and KZ2 drivers will compete to win the race to the different titles of French Champion. There will be five rounds, i.e. ten racing days from March to October.

07-08 May: Angerville - GPO + French Cup Rotax & Rotax Master
28-29 May: Ostricourt - GPO + French Championship "Nationale 1"
20-21 August: Laval - GPO + French Championship "Nationale 3"
29-30 October: Essay - GPO + French Cup Minime/Cadet
Vega Tyres
Four "slick" tyres for Saturday and as many for Sunday, eight tyres max. authorised for Friday's practice and six uncontrolled rain tyres for the two racing days: this is the standard scheme adopted for tyres. As for Vega tyres, hard tyres (XH) will be adopted in KF3 while medium tyres (XM) will be used in KF2 and KZ2. This is the same solution adopted by the CIK-FIA for the international categories KF2 and KF3 and will allow drivers to work more effectively in the GPO. As part of its engagement, the Italian manufacturer has committed itself to provide the same tyres both at FFSA and CIK meetings.
2011 Registrations
Registrations are already open on www.gpokarting.com and are allowed up to 15 days before the relevant meeting. The entry fee for the whole Championship is even more interesting this season, 1690 € for KZ2 and 1790 € for KF2 and KF3 (Alspy casing rent fee included). This amount includes the administrative expenses, the track fees for Friday, five passes and the paddock space for the five meetings of the year. It is also possible to register for a single round with 430 € in KZ2 and 460 € in KF2 and KF3. Registrations can also be sent by mail to the TKF operator.
